The gig economy and org design
Organisational transformation is a constant. As I look out my Melbourne CBD window, restructures are inflight across Telstra, NAB and ANZ. Whether it’s a newly appointed CEO making changes to establish ‘their team’ around the executive table, through to the business moving through the startup and scaleup stages, or the traditional business, transitioning from the old to the new operating model. All require different capabilities and characteristics.
Whilst large enterprise can stomach the price tag associated with the Accenture’s and McKinsey’s of this world. It strikes me that smaller organisations could also benefit from an innovative approach to organisational design and workforce planning.
